Stone Opening Into Kitchen of New Moroxico

Dallas, Texas

Diet on the Set!

As my partner, Seth, is all too aware, there was oftentimes much more consideration given to the aesthetics of the design and how the house might read on camera than what it would be like to practically and realistically live here, but I was nevertheless always mindful of FUNCTIONALITY, especially in the kitchen.

With Seth constantly reminding me, “This is beautiful, but don’t forget I have to actually COOK HERE, Ryan!” I was always willing to pull back and reevaluate my ideas if any space ever veered into the danger zone and started feeling too much like a FILM SET instead of a home.

But one thing I wouldn’t budge on— to me no RUSTIC KITCHEN is complete without a bunch of gorgeous COPPER POTS hanging from the ceiling.

“So these are a bunch of pots we can’t actually use?” Seth asked. I told him, “That is correct.”
